This Privacy Policy describes how Grant Reddoch ("I," "me," or "my") collects, uses, and discloses information when you visit grantreddoch.com (the "Site"). It also explains your rights and how to contact me with questions or requests.

I take privacy seriously. This Site is a personal professional website for a solo Catholic liturgical musician. It does not run advertising, does not sell data, and collects only the minimum information necessary to respond to inquiries and process booking requests.

1. What Information Is Collected

Information You Provide Directly

If you submit the Contact Form or the Booking Inquiry Form, I collect the information you enter:

  • Contact Form: name, email address, subject (optional), and message.
  • Booking Inquiry Form: name, email address, organization / parish / school (optional), inquiry type, event date, event location, and message.

Form submissions are transmitted to and stored by Netlify, Inc. ("Netlify"), the hosting platform that powers this Site. I receive submission notifications via email and review them in the Netlify dashboard. I retain form data only as long as necessary to respond to or fulfill the inquiry.

I do not use a dedicated email marketing platform. I do not add you to any mailing list without your explicit consent.

Location Search Input (Booking Form)

The Booking Inquiry Form includes an event-location search field. As you type, your search query is sent to Nominatim, a geocoding service operated by the OpenStreetMap Foundation, to return location suggestions. The query is transmitted as a URL parameter over HTTPS. Nominatim does not require an account, and no personally identifying information beyond your search text is sent. Information Collected Automatically by Hosting & Infrastructure

Netlify

This Site is hosted on Netlify. When you visit any page, Netlify's servers automatically receive and may log standard web-server data, including your IP address, browser type, operating system, referring URL, and pages visited. Netlify may also set technical cookies necessary for form handling and platform operation. Netlify's data practices are governed by the Netlify Privacy Policy.

Cloudflare

DNS resolution and network routing for grantreddoch.com passes through Cloudflare, Inc. Cloudflare acts as a reverse proxy and may process request metadata — including IP address and request headers — to provide DDoS protection, performance optimization, and security services. Cloudflare does not serve advertising and does not use your data to build ad profiles. Cloudflare's data practices are governed by the Cloudflare Privacy Policy.

2. Cookies and Tracking Technologies

Google Analytics Cookies

This Site uses Google Analytics 4 (provided by Google LLC), which sets first-party analytics cookies in your browser. These cookies help me understand how visitors interact with the Site. The cookies set by Google Analytics include:

  • _ga — Distinguishes unique users. Expires after 2 years.
  • _ga_SC27BE54DT — Tracks session state for this property. Expires after 2 years.

Google Analytics does not use your data for advertising purposes on this Site. IP addresses are anonymized by Google before storage. No advertising, retargeting, or cross-site tracking cookies are used.

Cookie Consent by Jurisdiction

This Site uses Google Consent Mode v2. Analytics are initialized in a cookieless, restricted mode by default — no tracking cookies are set until consent is determined.

If you are visiting from the European Union, European Economic Area, United Kingdom, Switzerland, Brazil, or another region where analytics cookies require prior consent, a cookie consent banner will appear before any tracking cookies are set. You may accept or decline analytics tracking using that banner. Your choice is saved in your browser and respected on future visits. If you decline, Google Analytics will continue to operate in cookieless mode (contributing only to aggregated, modeled data with no cookies stored).

If you are visiting from the United States or another jurisdiction where analytics cookies do not require prior consent under applicable law, Google Analytics tracking is activated automatically.

Infrastructure Cookies

Third-party services used by this Site (Netlify, Cloudflare) may set their own technical cookies or use similar technologies as part of their infrastructure operations. These are limited to functional and security purposes and are governed by each service's own privacy policy.

3. Analytics

This Site uses Google Analytics 4 (measurement ID: G-SC27BE54DT), a web analytics service provided by Google LLC. Google Analytics collects information about your visits, including:

  • Pages visited and time spent on each page.
  • Referral source (how you found the Site — e.g., a search engine or direct link).
  • Browser type, operating system, and device type.
  • General geographic location at the country and region level (derived from your IP address; the full IP address is anonymized before storage by Google).
  • Interactions such as clicks, scrolls, and page engagement.

This data is used solely to understand how visitors use the Site and to improve its content and user experience. It is not used for advertising targeting.

Google Analytics data is processed by Google in accordance with the Google Privacy Policy. You may opt out of Google Analytics tracking across all websites by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.

Visitors from consent-required jurisdictions may decline analytics tracking via the cookie consent banner. You can change your decision at any time by clearing this site's data from your browser's local storage or clearing your browser cookies.

Cross-domain tracking (Payhip and Gumroad): The same Google Analytics property (G-SC27BE54DT) is also active on my Payhip and Gumroad stores, and multi-domain tracking is enabled. This means that if you navigate from grantreddoch.com to either store to complete a purchase, your analytics session is carried across domains — allowing me to understand the full visitor journey from site visit to purchase as a single continuous session. No additional personal data is collected beyond what is described above; the same anonymized, aggregated metrics apply across all three domains.

Payhip and Gumroad also operate their own independent analytics and are governed by their respective privacy policies regardless of the cross-domain tracking described here.

4. How Information Is Used

Information collected is used solely to:

  • Respond to contact and booking inquiries.
  • Coordinate event logistics and booking arrangements.
  • Operate, secure, and improve the Site's technical infrastructure (by Netlify and Cloudflare).

I do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing or commercial purposes.

5. Data Retention

Form submission data stored in Netlify is retained only as long as reasonably necessary to respond to your inquiry and maintain records of completed engagements. You may request deletion at any time by contacting me at the address below.

6. External Links

This Site contains links to external websites including Instagram, SoundCloud, LinkedIn, BonaVox SWLA, Payhip, and Gumroad. These sites have their own privacy policies and data practices, which I do not control. Visiting those links is subject to their respective policies.

7. Digital Downloads & Payments

Sheet music and other digital products sold through this Site are processed by third-party e-commerce platforms. Payhip is the primary point of sale; Gumroad, Inc. ("Gumroad") may also be used. When you purchase a product, you are directed to the respective platform to complete the transaction. All payment card information is entered on and handled by that platform's servers. I do not receive, process, or store any payment card data.

By completing a purchase, you are also subject to the privacy policy of the platform used:

These platforms may collect your name, email address, and billing information as part of the purchase flow. I receive only the information needed to fulfill your order (name and email) so I can provide download access and respond to any order-related questions.

8. Children's Privacy

This Site is not directed at children under the age of 13 and does not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has submitted personal information through this Site, please contact me so I can remove it.

9. Your Privacy Rights

Depending on your location, you may have certain rights regarding your personal data. These may include:

  • The right to access the personal information I hold about you.
  • The right to correct inaccurate information.
  • The right to delete your personal information.
  • The right to withdraw consent where processing is based on consent.

Residents of California may have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA / CPRA), including the right to know what personal information is collected and the right to opt out of its sale. I do not sell personal information.

Residents of the European Union / EEA or United Kingdom may have rights under the GDPR or UK GDPR, including rights of access, erasure, portability, and objection to processing. The legal basis for processing contact and booking form data is your consent (you voluntarily submitted the form) and the legitimate interest of responding to your inquiry.

10. Security

All data transmitted to and from this Site is protected by HTTPS / TLS encryption. The Site is configured with security headers including X-Frame-Options, X-Content-Type-Options, and a strict Referrer-Policy. Netlify and Cloudflare maintain their own security programs governing the infrastructure layer.

No method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure. While I take reasonable precautions, I cannot guarantee absolute security.
